Arts and Kindness Week, February 2019
We worked with People United, a local arts charity, to explore how the arts and creativity can have an impact on levels of kindness. Through a range of activities and experiences the whole school embraced the theme and the results were clearly visible! Do come and see our Nurture Tree, outside Dragonfly class, the next time you are in school.
We met Steampunk Bob on Monday morning…some children saw him on the playground and he explained he was looking for a special kind of treasure. That treasure was KINDNESS! Steampunk Bob worked with every class to create a whole school grati-tune, haikus, poems, and tableaus.
Steampunk Bob said he found kindness qualities in all of us and we now have a Kindness Hero in every class who are on hand at playtime to help and support all children.
We continue to perform Acts of Kindness every day and we are proud of all our children. It really was a wonderful start to Term 4 and we look forward to repeating it again next year.
